“We Fight to Win and We Fight for Justice — We Do Not Fight to Be Politically Correct,” Trump Contrasts His Fight to Past Presidents

President Donald Trump contrasted his administration’s approach to military operations with that of previous presidents while addressing the Future Investment Initiative on March 27, 2026. He described the current campaign against Iran as driven by a clear intent to achieve victory and deliver justice rather than prolong conflict indefinitely.

“We fight to win. We fight for justice and we fight to win. We don’t fight to be politically correct. Like we did under other presidents. Where we fought to just keep fighting and fighting and fighting,” Trump said.

Trump defended Operation Epic Fury as a necessary action with defined goals to neutralize the Iranian regime’s threats, including its nuclear ambitions and support for terrorism. He noted that U.S. forces have struck command and control centers, IRGC headquarters, ballistic missile sites, weapons production facilities, and naval assets in a campaign that has left Iran’s air force and navy largely destroyed. The operation has also resulted in the deaths of Iran’s supreme leader and more than 40 other senior leaders and officials.

Unlike past engagements that Trump characterized as open-ended, the current military operation is proceeding on schedule, with forces achieving objectives ahead of initial timelines. Trump stressed that the United States under his leadership prioritizes decisive outcomes to protect American interests and regional allies.
